PHYSIOTHERAPY

Physiotherapy Initial Assessment (60 minutes)

During the Physiotherapy Initial Assessment, your physiotherapist will review your injury and health history, and identify the root causes of your pain and symptoms. Through objective muscle and joint assessments in our physiotherapy clinic, along with functional movement analysis, therapist will develop a working diagnosis. Together with your therapist, you will collaborate on treatment goals, estimate your recovery timeline, and develop a personalized plan, including treatment frequency and corresponding recovery milestones. By the end of your assessment, you will have a clear understanding of your condition and have confidence in the recovery process.

Assessments are designed for those looking to be engaged in and optimize their recovery journey.

Physiotherapy Follow-Up Session (30 minutes)

During your follow up treatments, your therapist will perform an objective re-evaluation to assess your response to your last treatment and series of tissue loading. Your Physiotherapist will then utilize strategic manual therapy or other treatment techniques (IMS dry needling, shockwave, blood flow restriction therapy, cryotherapy, compression therapy, exercise therapy, muscle stimulation, and biofeedback) to address symptoms or items on your clinical problem list, to assist the recovery process. Following treatment, new strategies for tissue loading may be recommended. Patients may expect spending 15-20 minutes post-treatment in the gym space for tissue loading and/or in our Recovery Room for passive recovery.

PERFORMANCE STREAM

Our performance testing battery offers athletes and coaches valuable insights into both performance metrics and injury risk. Athletes participate in a series of activity tracking logs, thorough injury history surveys, lifestyle surveys and a 2-day comprehensive performance testing battery that evaluates tissue length, strength, aerobic capacity, speed, and agility. Athletes receive a comprehensive report summarizing their performance, and how it compares against benchmarks for their age, division, and position. Recommendations for performance improvement and injury risk mitigation are provided. This approach enables coaches and athletes to identify performance blind spots and implement effective training strategies for athlete development.

This testing battery is designed with the elite athlete and coach in mind, measuring the most important aspects of physical performance in sport: mobility, joint health, strength, power, agility, fitness, and speed.

Recover

In the recover phase, we focus on pain management and tissue reactivation. During this phase the aim is to restore joint mobility, reduce pain, and returning to basic activities of life. Other aspects of your health may require maintenance and continued loading to avoid deconditioning, This phase of your care lasts between 4-12 weeks depending on the injury.

This is where you begin seeing your come back.

Rebuild

In the rebuild phase, we focus on tissue capacity, strength symmetry, rate of force development, and returning per-injury function. During this phase we tailor your strength program to your capacity safely to avoid reaggravation and reinjury. This phase can last between 4-24 weeks. By the end of this phase, patients feel significantly better and much more capable.

This is where confidence is built.

Resurge

In the resurge phase, return to sport is gradually reintroduced. Tissue capacity continues to improve while speed, agility, and power are further developed. Predictable and unpredictable movements are introduced to exceed the demands of your sport or activity. Working alongside your coaching staff is vital for a safe return without re-injury. This phase usually occurs between 6-12 months.

This is where trophies are won.
